You don't need to kill the snakes. Unless they're attached to that asshole.

Kids that lose parents while growing up suffer enough. To see your father killed in front of you, I just cannot imagine what that kid is going through and will live with forever. I will say that for the kid to realize he needed to escape and to have the foresight to reach out for help, big props to him.

Not only did this kid see his father killed... have to survive over a day in ths wilderness (unprepared)... his mom is also, apperantly, fighting cancer and undergoing chemo.

You don’t have to eat the mouse too.

ive only had snake a couple times and both times it was cooked into something else so I didn’t actually get to taste it on its own.
Same with alligator. I’ve eaten it lots but never just gater. It’s been sausage, jerky, fried, in fried rice, bbq but never just gater.
Also same with raccoon and possum.

See...that mouse isn't even inside the snake!

And you could have used the mouse as bait!

You don’t eat the city raccoons or possums.
    Only the country ones.

Edit: when I lived in Arkansas people ate them pretty often. If you don’t cook them enough they can mess you up real bad. Any scavenger like a raccoon is going to have stuff like trichinosis.
