Removing a leaf

    Recently I replaced the front coilovers w/ 5100’s and 880’s as so highly recommended here. Trouble is, I probably should have used 881’s cuz I lost nearly an inch from the coil spacer lift that was in there. Instead of removing them, renting a compressor and moving them up a groove (which Im certain will be too much height) I plan to remove the overload leaf in the rear. My question is does it slip out or are the leafs bolted or pinned together meaning I need to remove the entire leaf springs to accomplish this? Will the ride improve as well? It rides like an empty dump truck. Thanks

    there's a center pin that you will have to remove.

    just a generic pic for reference but if you use c-clamps you can save your self from having the whole pack separating, and then having to line up the center hole again.

    I imagine if I got rid of the 2x4 of a spring it will land where I need it.
