Tell that to the person that is backing out of their sloped driveway at full crank.

So if I run 265/70r16s up front and 285/75r16s in the rear I shouldn't rub right?

Yeah I was trying to talk to the customer and explain in 4wd he is fighting final drive ratios and he said “can you lift it for me “o_O . Some 4 door jk wranglers came in 2wd . Originally I figured it was one since I mean come on who is gonna wheel that thing . No it’s 4x4 . With someone like that there’s no point explaining it will always rub . He needs to take those rears and put that on a
tricked out bbq trailer Lol .

I saw that thread haha. He may not know how to use the 4wd so it may be okay.

Oh the interior of that thing was great too! Ostrich skin hat in the oh-shit handle and gator skin hat on the unnecessary knob.

One thing that the tire size threads prove. Tacomas are originally equipped with too small of a tire.

Damn , this thread reminds me of the old EDM boards I used to hang out on.

So yeah, I'm one of those guys with not very many posts, but if this truck lasts nearly as long as I expect it to, that will change very soon. Just figured I'd put it out there, I just put a set of Pro Comp AT Sport 285/70/16 tires on my 2018 TRD off-road with stock rims and a leveling kit up front, and I get rub with the upper control arm at full lock. A bit going forward but definitely more pronounced when going in reverse. I was hoping to avoid wheel spacers, but since I can't really afford a new set of wheels at this point I think that's the route I'm going to have to go. Other than that, I love the way the truck looks. And it tears up the trails as long as I don't have to back up.

The guys at 4 WheelPros assured me there would be no rub, but here I stand. Oh well, still not disappointed with it. Just need to do a little bit more work.
