3 inch suspension lift spacer in front (polished aluminum to chrome looking finish), 2 inch lift in rear to level truck and clear tires from rubbing. 2% Chrome window tint to keep interior cool from Florida heat, iridium plugs, royal purple fluids throughout whole truck (transfer case, rear end gear oil, radiator additive, oil, everything is royal purple). Billet aluminum grill, led light bar13,500 lumen less, 55 watt hid headlights, working on wrapping interior with Alecantra leather, led dash and interior lights from superbrightleds.com. White gauges with chrome bezzels, chrome a.c. vents to match chrome dash bezzels, alacantra leather dash mat, and a some other modifications.
I believe that's the same plug I must have unplugged that stopped my speedometer from working. Any help would be appreciated as I didn't see a response to the previous persons question answered. I plan on going back to the chiltons book again if nobody here can answer where it plugs into. Thanks in advance for reading.

I bought a set of DESNO yesterday from Advanced Auto, they have a 20 percent Internet discount going on for 150.00 for both.

Use a thin wire and run it down from the top of the transmission hole and pull the pigtail of the sensor up where you then connect it to the socket.

I have an automatic an it was connected up top on the transmission . It was difficult to get undone. I know the back sensor connected under the passenger seat.

    Sub, gotta do this soon.

No actual bad symptoms except the P1135 code. Bought the upstream sensor to fix it. Glad I read this thread, looks like I need to go from inside the cab for my 01 manual v6 4x4.

IMG_3388.jpg IMG_3389.jpg right.... p0171 (system too lean, bank 1)light ON and after OBDed, it went OFF... like 6 months later, went ON again. And OFF, meanwhile research for causes online. This time and just in case, ordered denso 234-4161 replacement. Fast forward, I am under there trying to replace the faulty O2 sensor that triggers one more time the check engine light...wd40 and lots of TLC did not work, and stripped one stud, of the first part of exhaust system.(upstream downstream whichever is before the CAT)
Chris at Ayres in Sparks, NV said to me ;-"bring the same O2 sensor... but the threaded one and I will weld it in, after seal the faulty old O2, and so you don't need to replace everything down there"
which is that O2 sensor that instead of a bolt in bracket have a "thread bolt in" 7/8"s ,thanks!!!

i do beleive i have to do the upstream one on my manual. I have been dreading it. Any tricks/tips to getting the boot and console and all that crap out of the way so i can go in the from the top? I guess i should look to see if i can even get the nuts to turn. CHances are they are not even nut shapped anymore and will be impossible to remove due to the heat cold cycles on the studs after 190k. The good news is they shoudl just be "snug" right? Not torqued to heck...so maybe ill get them to turn.

It’s actually an easy job as long as the old sensor breaks loose from the exhaust,
Put some penetrating Oil on the sensors threads for overnight

The sensor plugs are not all like that. Crawl under and look before pulling shift console.
The rear sensor plug can be pulled out from below even though everybody says remove rocker covers and pull up carpet to disconnect plug.

hmm...i guess im confused as this thread and my truck show that the front sensor is exactly this way. There is no real way to get to the front plug without removing the console, shift boot get to it from the top.....through the hole.

Maybe one day you will add specs and an avitar. Untill then confusion is a given.

Hey guys, I realize I'm late to the party but..... I'm rebuilding a 91 toyota 4x4 with the 3vz 3.0. It had been sitting for 10 years and had a bad crank. I just rebuilt the motor and got it back in today and got it going. I have alot of bugs to work out on this ole girl but one of them is the 02sensor wiring. Where the sensor harness plugs into the other harness has been totally melted. Both plastic plugs are toast. So I'm wanting to just splice the wires together. The end from the sensor has a blue and a white and 2 black wires. The other end has a white with red stripe wire and a white wire and a black wire and I believe a brown wire. I might not be exact on the last side of wires but does anyone know which wires go with each other? I've looked for a wiring diagram but can't find one. Can anyone help? I know someone is gonna say just buy a new pigtail but I need to be able to wire it into where it comes off the main harness anyway.

My understanding is there are 4 O2 sensors (2013 V6 Prerunner), 2 for each bank. If I buy an upstream or downstream sensor, does the bank matter or will they work for each side?

Old thread, but it really helped when I just replaced my upstream A/F sensor. I was one of the unlucky ones whose electrical connectors were on top of transmission. Going through where shift boot is helped, at least I could see the connectors. Still had a devil of a time getting them apart though. Any advice I can give would be to get sensor off exhaust first so you can get a bit of slack in the wires. Oh and from Toyota the new sensor does not come with a new gasket, I thought it must because I could not find a part # for gasket looking at Toyota's diagrams. However you can find the gasket by looking at the downstream O2 sensor. It uses the same gasket.

Mine came with a new gasket there on the right. My 04 DC is an auto of course. Not sure if since the part #’s are different you don’t get a gasket.

Looks like Denso sends the gasket with theirs, mine was from Toyota and didn't come with gasket. I tried to order the Denso from Amazon but they sent a completely different sensor than what was on order. I have to get smogged tomorrow to renew my registration so was forced to get it from Toyota dealer.
