Gritto, sounds like a friend of mine that used to drive for R&L trucking. He was abused on a weekly basis. Someone calls in sick, my buddy is forced to cover his deliveries and pickups. And this shit went on for years. He's a really decent dude, but this company screwed him over to the point that he finally got sick and tired of it, and retired. He had wanted to work a couple of extra years, but their attitude of "Joe will do it", finally left them with no one reliable. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere if things get too bad.

I agree, I grew up all along the gulf coast, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and later Georgia and now North Carolina. The first 3 states I listed are hotter than blazes in the summer, and humidity is so high, it's like walking in soup. Just walking to my car on friday night to go out partying in Louisiana, maybe 3 minutes, and your soaking wet, and shirt is stuck on like a second skin. Quite a few dance halls there had the giant industrial size box fans installed,8 ft tall and wide, one side blew in air, and the other side was exhaust to suck out the heat, and with 100 bodies on the dance floor,Zydeco music blasting away, you sweat, and I mean a lot. Go around anywhere on the Texas Gulf Coast, and its hot and humid. I used to feel sorry for the folks up in big D when the temps would hit 110 or higher. Now I've never been up to Yankee country like NJ ever, and don't plan too. But I've heard it can get miserable there also. sorry for the long rant.

time for a new poll, whats your favorite movie, just leave a blank for everyone to write theirs in. Way too many for me to choose, but like a previous poster said, Shawshank Redemption is a good one. I also really liked Avatar, but most of my favorites are older movies.

People will treat you exactly how you let them. In @Gritto ’s case, this is his punishment by the Universe for not taking me fishing and getting me into his club. I warned him but he just doesn’t listen. If he would just vouch for me and sign on the dotted line, he will be living in his own Utopia. It all comes down to the choices that we make.
