    Damn asthma hit me bad yesterday. worst asthma attack I have had in years. Called in sick. Now its 4am and it hit me again. I'm sure the air from the fire last weekend didnt help.

    The 320 mile round trip to Santa Maria I was planning today is out of the question.

    Good morning all, trash day - bear night - neighbor visited around 0240. Bungee held and the three of us ran him off (me and the boys).

    Well Canyon City has a forest fire near the HW 50 canyon - smoke was visible here. Hope they get a handle on it early this morning. Only got to 82 here yesterday - not bad, 97 in the Springs.

    Yes. When it gets like this is also when people hit a lot of birds on the freeway. I'm sure you're familiar with what hot air does for trying to get an airplane off the ground. Birds have that same issue. Their timing is off just a tad and the ones that would normally clear the top of the cab end up in the top part of the hood or windshield. Exploding pigeons are a pretty common site between here and town.
