Oh YES! That's much better. I have to take my rack off to open the swing out. I hate that...... :annoyed:

That's a nice ride you have there (purple cranks +10). I bet it's fun on the trails.

Bueno, thanks! I'm looking at a lot of options and having to weigh in on how I want things configured in order to fit my Yakima rack onto or around a swingout. I've looked at possibly welding a hitch receiver to the gate, but I also want to put my hi-lift there as well, which could obstruct the hitch even if I went with it behind the license plate with the extension like yours. :annoyed:

The wheeling and riding struggle is real! About the trails here in Utah, they are pretty nice. I moved here from Texas and it's been really nice. Come visit us sometime. You'll be glad you did!

Not gonna lie, I'm super stoked to have cold beer and popsicles waiting for me after a Whole Enchilada ride in Moab this year!

Pulling all of this out and rebuilding / checking everything and installing the BAMF shackle hangers I've had for years. I think I may be lazy.

More to come as I bust knuckles, throw wrenches and cuss a lot. Likely a whole lot...

Okay... after some COVID-19 crap got in my way (I do infectious disease diagnostics), I'm back to work on the shackle hanger swap. Just finished getting all the OEM shackle hangers off...... What a pain in the F'ing ass that was but like most of that kind of work once the time goes into it and the work is over, I'm ready for more beer.

If anyone is interested in doing this shackle hanger calamity and wants any tips, PM me.......I have a lot to say :annoyed::goingcrazy::censored: but have a few serious time savers.

Here are some photos as evidence...

    Resulting carnage....

All done with the BAMF shackle hanger install and leaf pack rebuild. Added two more leafs to compensate for all the new weight in the back. All better now....

Hit the dirt last weekend with a buddy and his Iglhault Allrad Sprinter van. Running 37s lockers all around and a full custom build out inside. This thing is legit!

My Relentless fab swing out blocked my reverse camera so I made a mount and mounted the reverse camera in the wheel hole of my spare. Now I can see when I back up in the Black Pig.

    Test fit...

    Finished up...

And I got a cover for the truck. It' actually a cover for a Sprinter van but it fits perfect! LOL.

Installed some seat heaters I've had for about 2 years. They work great. They take about 5 minutes to get up to temp but then they are on FIRE!

Just in time for the snow....

Got some new LED headlights from AREX. They are a little fancy and over-priced for me but they look great. They are a bit lacking in the far light field but great within about 200 feet. My retrofits were getting foggy and just kept failing. Ballasts crapping out. Too many wires and wire taps that would fail. Probably from being beaten up off road. Let me know what you think....

Well, I just got "one bad ass RTT"! Pretty stoked to get this thing opened up and check it out. My old Tepui has been great but it's been used hard and needs to go to bed....

Most of the snowing stopped so I put the new Roam Vagabond tent on the truck. This is a big step up from the Tepui as far as features and small improvements to usability. Now I can let my dog sleep in the annex and I won't have to lift him into the tent. Try lifting a 6 month old hyper Australian Shepard up into a tent 5 feet off the ground a few times.....
