Noted and added to the plan. I had my roadtrip plan going Austin > San Antonio. I've literally added a day for Austin > Hill Country > San Antonio :D

I figured I was getting back Wednesday Night.....I can afford to add a day down in Texas. Now, difficulty will be, if the weather is too hot to kip up in the truck then I'll be tempted to skeedaddle earlier. But, that is yet TBD. Thanks for the suggestion, looking forward to checking out hill country and exploring Texas!

PS....any dirt roads? :D I don't want to really wheel per-say, but a good dirt road isn't outside the realm of possibility. Also, might be lucky and find a place to kip up for the night out there.

Central Texas West of i35 is pretty good for dirt roads, just keep off the private property and you'll be good. There's some good county roads that go through large ranches with water crossings and beautiful views.

Awesome, excited for you. It's gonna be hawt in the day!!! Central Texas can surprise you in the shade or at night though. Still going to be hot though.
These roads will bring you by some pretty Texas but I'll attach a site below of a guy's adventure blogs I want to try. He has some in this area, I have another guy's trail maps too if I can find it. I'm terrible with technology, glad I found this, haha.

Sweet. As long as they’re posted I will explore freely :D

yeah my original plan was drive a lot at night and then sleep during the day so it’s cool while driving. Then I realized that would mean sleeping in the bed of the truck under a black soft topper in the high Texas sun. The hell....

The goal is the heat though. I posted it before but I want to experience that for real not some Joe Schmo tourist version. Should be good, as long as the overnight is livable for sleeping I can make do with the day time temps. I’m excited to see the area, hope to explore with the doggo a bit too.

Purple paint on fence posts and signs marks the property, but sometimes it won't be labeled. Best to stick to the county roads and not pull off the road too far. One pissed rancher can cause a county to close the road. Also, close the gates lol. They really hate it when you don't do that.

Yeah, click on his expedition portal radio buttons and it'll link you to stuff like this:

    https://expeditionportal.com/overland-routes-the-texas-hill-country/

Best advice I got is don't try to sleep in the day right now. This shit gets inferno from July to usually September, can't even sugar coat that statement.

Hey everyone. I had a general question for anyone with custom license plates. Has anyone had an issue getting the TTC on a plate? Secondly, has anyone had issues with every plate design they submit? If so how did you get around and solve the issue?

How much? My SPOTS is coming up on the expiration of 10 years soon. Had it on my Taco, now the Tundy. It was $650 for 10 years, but that is back when the state was doing it.
