    its an acquired taste

and yes...my cousin played in high school and we'd all go to his games and tourneys. it was a blast. and we had a junior A team in town and going to games was about the only thing to do most nights. at one point there was a girl who organized a fan club. she knew i attended most games so she asked for my help. at first it was kinda weird because it was her (i think she was a high school senior at the time), me (at 22 y/o) and a bunch of <12 y/o girls who all had crushes on the guys  we did a couple of team get togethers and had BBQs, we adopted players which meant we were to get them goodie bags for road trips with snacks and stuff, helped sell merch. the guys thought i was some weirdo at first and were really shy. then they realized i could get them into bars as i knew all the bouncers in town. suddenly i was very popular and i was their most favorite fan. half the team would show up after the games to hang out with my friends and i. i told them they had to have a DD, they had to behave and not cause any trouble. if they got busted i didn't know them. if they did it was all over for everyone. surprisingly they obeyed. lots of good times. also, my friends and i never had to worry about anyone harassing us as there were half a dozen very intimidating guys ready to swoop in and save us at any moment.
and for NHL...I was a diehard Patrick Roy fan. Was an Avalanche fan from day one. Got to see one game, sadly after he retired. Then he started coaching and I was super happy he was back. Their best season in years. Then they fired him. Haven't care much since...kinda left me torn. they've always been my team but they tossed my guy. still have my Roy jersey hanging in the closet!

More than a couple. I seen a gopher snake mimic a rattle snake yesterday. Almost looked like a rattler for just a minute. He had the movement then the way he pulled his head back into a defensive strike position formed the diamond shaped head and he held that for a minute then took off. It was pretty cool.

    Sounds like fun times. :D

I like Patrick Roy myself and I was fortunate enough to see him play. I’m a Ducks fan but I haven’t really followed hockey for a bit. My wife is a Red Wings fan (quite certain it had something to do with Sergi Federov back in the day ) but she also likes the Kings so it would be fun to go to a Ducks/Kings game every so often. Like I said haven’t done it in a while though.

If they are near leaves they will shake their tail and sound like a rattler as well. I have jumped back about 10 feet more than a few times from that. We get gardeners, gophers, kings and rattlers here.

This one was in the water and kept his tail under a rock ( that was another give-away. Rattlers almost always keep their tails up). We get the same ones here plus a couple more. We have sidewinders and are right on the border for corals. I seen 2, didn't know what they were till I talked to the biologist at work. Plus we have a bunch of different lizards. We're to far west for Gila Monsters but I'd like to see one sometime.

    We also have Rosie Boa's.

My previous dog use to eat the lizards but now they arn't afraid anymore. We have some very large blue bellies that don't even run unless you get right next to them. Once in a while we get an alligator lizard or a skink in the yard. Other than that its raccoons, opossums, foxes, bobcats, road runners and coyotes that venture down into the housing tract. I have seen black bears and deer in the hills behind us. Crows, hawks and once in a while a falcon fly above.

Nice, I usually go to Supercuts and its cheap enough I leave a decent tip but now you have to make an appointment so I grabbed a clipper and 13mm spacer and let my wife go to work( clipper for sides and back only). It took her an hour but she did a pretty decent job of it.

I go to Great Clips and use their online check in feature and never had to wait that long , maybe 30 minutes . I check in at home and by the time I arrive it's just a matter of minutes before my haircut
