Is your lower mount binding up?

I believe so. I put shorter eyelets on the shocks to see if I could gain any up travel but I don't think the lower mounts allow enough clearance to let the uniball work and it's binding.

I need to redo the lower mounts. It's just not on the priority list. haha

What length shocks are you running? I remember we had to cheat my lower mounts really low and move the frame side stuff just right on the BMAF kit to make full use of a 12, but the uptravel was only being limited by the spring pack going pretty negative.

I'm still laughing at your text when you finally responded.

They are 2.5x12" Fox. I originally cycled with a 3" eyelet and ran it for a long time without issue. Then I got curious and wanted to see if the shock was limiting up travel at all since I've got rubber bump stops and tried a 2". The design of the 2" and the mounting location of the lower mount was what did it in.

FYI, I didn't gain any up travel but lost 1" down.

I was browsing your thread and it looks like an EPIC trip. Bucket list item for sure. Plenty of obstacles to overcome and stories to be had. We did a Tecate to Mike's Sky Ranch in 2019? and it was a blast. Really want to plan another trip and maybe go further south to Bay of LA or Gonzaga.

:gossip: Things are in the works... It's time for some much needed maintenance.

Shipped my 3rd member off to ECGS last for evaluation and received a replacement axle housing from @Dalandser to rework my lower shock mounts and add a little reinforcement while I'm in there. Thanks @eccracer104 and @LukeCC for the delivery! Hoping to make some progress this weekend and add a little extra sauce in the rear that will hopefully reduce my complaints of how the rear acts on big hits.

Also made a stop by JD Fab yesterday to pickup some parts from @81Trekker. Always good to see you! :fistbump:
