ugggg, after everything you get this curveball!

Now you have ANOTHER insurance company to fight with? Ugggg.

gun shop local to me, burned to the ground.
Everybody that had firearms there for work, lost out on everything.

That was actually the owners fault for improper ammunition storage. So that’s why insurance didn’t cover anything.
Guy had to move out of town to avoid that shit storm.

good luck getting your truck back, i feel terrible for you.

Generally speaking, the shop's insurance does not cover customer vehicles. Your shop may be different, but I'd get in touch with your insurance company ASAP to update them on the situation. Good luck!

Good luck! My insurance company was a real piece of work. Lied to me and tried to intimidate me. My body shop said that my truck took the prize for being on their lot the longest, lmao.... 5 months *facepalm*

Jeez lol that's insane. At least it all worked out though. I've been pretty lucky so far, my insurance adjuster has been very friendly and accomodating, and both he and the shop I'm using have nothing but good things to say about each other so that's comforting. Adjuster even asked me if I would recommend the shop for work, as he has an older 4runner. who knows...i might even invite him offroading after the truck is fixed up from the last offroading adventure...

who was your insurance, if you don't mind me asking? beautiful truck btw

Thank you :) yeah my first insurance adjuster was a jerk, second one was decent. First one engaged in steering and basically screamed at me on a phone call at 8 am before one of my graduate classes ...
makes a big difference to have an adjuster you can work with. I will be reporting the first adjuster to the local regulatory board.

I had Hanover insurance. They were good in the beginning, but things went pretty south pretty quickly. They told me my truck was totalled when in actuality it was not. What happened was that their adjuster, the one who intimidated and steered me, actually wrote an estimate that would not total the vehicle with the ACV and salvage they had. However, he withheld that from me and verbally told me it was totalled... And the insurance company backed up the lie. It was only after I demanded to see the estimate that I realized they outright lied to me. I went all the way to their board of directors, CEO. Fought hard for MONTHS to make them admit their mistake. They wanted to total my truck so badly cause they knew it would sell for mucho dinero at auction. In the end, I won :brianr:. Do not recommend Hanover as an insurance company. If anyone has suggestions on an actually decent insurance co, I'm all ears lmao

It was originally ~ $17k after the accident (from my insurance co), but then the body shop it was at caught fire and the bed was lost. So their insurance co kicked in 4k for a new bed, tailgate, decals, fender flares, paint, etc. So 21k all said and done lmao

That was a roller coaster of a thread. Makes me want to push my upcoming Mobtown high clearance rear bumper to a wayyy higher priority on my build sheet. :spending:

I'm glad the "powers that be" finally agreed to implement the correct resolution for your situation. Way to stick with it, @truckdoggirl.
