headlight film peeling

I do not know if this goes in lighting or detailing.

So, the film (protectent?) Over my headlights is starting to peel off and I was wondering do I need new housings or us there something that can fix it? It is turning my lights foggy (hazy?), and not in a good way. Right now it is only over my DRL/Turn signal section on driver side but I dunno when it will effect my headlights and the safety and visibility of my turn signals.

Once it starts there’s no stopping. It’s band aids on broken legs. Replace

 

I'd avoid any kinds of 'protective' plastic headlight films. They do more harm than good, and will reduce output and focus. If you can remove and use something to clear off the adhesive that would be worth trying since they are a lost cause otherwise. If it comes down to replacement, go OEM.
