colorado wheeling

hey yall,

Got a trip to colorado in a couple weeks, i'll be coming from WI. I plan to visit friends and stay with them, i also plan to spend about 2 days hopefully adventuring and wheeling down on the alpine loop. I have never been down there, I was hoping to do some trails mainly black bear and imogene pass and if time permits i would like to try other trails too. I will be visiting by myself and most likely doing some trails by myself that i know wont be too technical, but the trails like black bear i know will be a challenge especially for a newbie like me. So my question is, is there someone willing to show me around on some of the trails for the day or at least give me some pointers for trails i could do myself? Also i believe a OHV permit is needed? Anything else i should know before I attempt any trails? I have done Argentine pass with some friends that's about all the experience i have. Im hoping to go out and visit the Ouray/telluride area the dates of July 29th-30th. also if i decide to spend the night is there any good camp sites? am i able to camp on any of the trails?

Welcome to TW! I've only been to Colorado once and went hard and paid for it by blowing a CV. I was totally unprepared. I just really wanted to experience Colorado and being that I was getting off a ship in Louisiana and could of drove NE to NC (home) or NW to Colorado and didnt really have any plans ,it was a spur of the moment thing. I've learned my lesson from that trip to go prepared.
