    The spinning bolt might be threaded into a captive/welded nut and the captive nut broke free.
    That’s what happened with my 1st gen. I had to replace the skid plate brackets where the captive but broke free.

    That was my thought. And I told the idiots at Livermore Toyota. But they decided to ruin my aluminum skid buy cutting the aft posts. I could have done that, FFS! AND NOTHING in the after action report about what they found. I've been pretty pissed for two days now. Gonna go out and look in the morning. Right before I take the truck back, as it's still making odd groaning, grabbing sounds from either the transmission, or T-case.
