LSPV replacement with a manual one?

One of the brake lines blew off the LSPV on my 2002 tacoma yesterday. A OEM replacement goes $150+, and i'd rather not do that. My brother suggested to me a manual proportioning valve for the rear end. I'd like to do it, but all the ones i've seen so far are 1 inlet and 1 outlet, or something weird like 3 in 2 out. No 2 in 1 out. Am I just looking in the wrong places, or is there something else I can do to make the 1 in 1 out work? Thanks!!

 

I think you would replace the LSPV with a tee, and then install one of the front disc/rear drum valves up front.

You install the manual valve in the rear brake line I put them close to the Master Cylinder.

I run a new line to the rear brakes only because by this time it is needed and easier for me.

into the rubber line down to the Tee on the axle

Adjust to your comfort. On mine stuff I tend to never get around to the valve

All the Lspv lines get removed .

Depending on how involved the brake job is I either Block or remove the junction I forget between the mid eighties and the newer vehicles they are on different sides in the front

Install it next to the master cylinder. Line from the master going to the rear goes to the IN, then OUT goes to the rear wheels (where the original valve's OUT connects to the rubber flex line above the differential).

The lower line on the original valve is just a return line that sends excess pressure and fluid back to the front brakes. You can remove it as it will no longer be needed (comes from a splitter located in driver's side wheel well). Upper line is the IN, coming from the master cylinder and, facing the diffrential is, as I said, the OUT
