What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Finished lifting this morning! Love it so far ride is great. Got longer rear break lines and 5125’s to do soon.

 

What did you use to color match the TOYOTA on the tailgate handle?

 

Dude those Rims look so good on QS.

 

Swapped out the off-road tail lights and installed some 2020 TRD pro tails. No more chrome

 

There a part number or source for those?

 

I use the Toyota touch-up paint on my quicksand taco. It is a slightly different color but pretty close. I was lazy and did not put clear coat over the top of it however so that might make a difference

It was raining this morning so I couldn't work on the things I needed to work on so....I made this gas cap holder out of Kydex. I can already see a few modifications that will improve it but for now its working as advertised.

 

Appreciate the input. Hate the fact the clear is a separate bottle.

Thanks, Kydex is pretty forgiving. Gonna order some gray and use it reinforce and accent it.

 

I like it, just having a tough time with what they sell them for on other sites. Been in the military over 39 years, wish I would have learned some sheet metal and machine shop skills.

 

You and me both Chief. I was a B-1B crew chief for 4-years and all I learned about sheet metal was how to dick up a fastener. Cross trained into helicopter flight engineer and never turned a wrench again.

The Kydex is stuff I have from making my own holsters. You can heat this stuff up with a heat gun and it becomes extremely pliable. Not much else the stuff is usable for on the truck although there may be a few things inside the cabin where this stuff could be used.

 

Nope, don't think I'd swim there.

 

Installed some rago fab bed stiffeners that have been in my closet for 2 years lol.

 

that’s a super nice garage setup. Where did you source the cabinets and all from?

 

Installed a Body Armor HiLine bumper, Smittybilt X20 10K winch, Factor 55 Ultra Hook and some GearAmarica Uber D ring shackles. Still waiting on my Cali Raised light bar. (I hate when companies consider shipped printing a label)
