Sounds good guys. I would prefer to have a OEM LSD at the end of the day but I think I will go with the truetrac or the Lockright. If they can have it done within the next two weeks it will be a done deal but I can not wait 6 weeks, ill just have to get an open diff temporarily.

The Truetrac is better than the oem clutch style LSD. I have one in my truck and its great. No maintenance and no fancy oil additive needed. It also doesn't wear over time.

The TrueTrac is vastly superior to the OEM clutch LSD and would be an upgrade over stock. A Truetrac is torsen LSD that will never wear out, doesn’t require friction modifier, engages progressively so it is unnoticeable but is more aggressive than stock and is far stronger than a clutch based design. I removed my locker to install a Truetrac. If going with a Truetrac you can use any 2nd Gen 8.4 rear and have the internals swapped.

some of the rear ends for toyota are the ' Torsen ' type....... all gears

very reliable if not abused or allowed to run low on fluid

i prefer rather than the clutch type
