Yeah that makes a lot of sense. My friend is about to finish off paying off his 0% interest RAV4 limited. Crazy cheap financing on an expensive car.

They get their money one way or the other.

People expect that kind of tech now too. Its nothing new (common, boring cars mainly), nothing to draw people in. Extended financing makes it so anyone can afford pretty much anything. May as well make em pay for it in the long run. And the fact that they will likely trade in way before its paid for is another huge advantage.

But after seeing what Ford released today, anyone who willingly pays $50k+ for a TRD Pro Taco/4Runner is just plain stupid imo.

    I’d own a new 4runner in a heart beat.

but base model as possible. It’s a relic. And I love it. Simple trucks. The last of its kind really

Base model 4x4 would be my choice too. The interior is super dated. But its hella reliable.

That’s what makes it great. I can’t stand all the stupid pointless tech. As I’ve proven with the tundra I can add what I want. I work on new cars all day. They drive me nuts with al the bullshit tech that goes wrong with them.

Precollision and lane keep assist. Omg it’s horrible! It’s making people too dependent on that shit. And it’s a nightmare to recalibrate things if your car gets bumped in the parking lot or the windshields replaces incorrectly

All I was saying in my post is that if youre buying a Pro in any flavor for its "offroad tech," youre dumb. Cause for the price you get way more offroad ability out of the gate in that new Ford. If all you want is reliability, buy a base model Toyota.

The pros drive me nuts. Could be something nice.. but it’s... meh. Not worth the cost at all

And they bombed it with that new color this year. Cement with a little green in it doesnt do it for me.

My mom wanted a replacement bumper on her 2020 Limited 4Runner for deer. Can't do that. No one makes one that replaces the mounts for all the tech in the Limited trim. She wanted a new fob since she said her's is annoying and the key slides out all the time. Can't do that. The fob has more stuff in it than the other trims so no one 3D prints a fob. I like the truck but I agree with the base model 4WD thoughts. She got a Limited 2WD with the locker.

I'm already seeing some guy from NWA talking about taking delivery on the 7-MTs in a few days. That was fast.
