Hey guys, I've been looking all over the place for skid plate options but it seems like every vendor states their plates wont fit 2wd models. I was under the assumption that the only difference in the frames was that the transmission cross member was moved 1". If there are any other differences, would they be solved by drilling a few extra holes in different locations on a 4x4 skid? I would think that the engine/diff skid would be identical, and if I was lucky, could find a vendor to do a custom transmission skid shortened 1" or drill my own holes depending on how it mounts. Due to the crawl box I'll have to go a custom route for a t case skid. I could design my own, but paying a fab shop to make them will hardly make a difference in cost from buying them somewhere else, especially if there's a sale. Anybody have experience throwing aftermarket skid plates on a prerunner?
