I hadn’t, no. I wanted to keep things as close to stock as possible on this little Ninja. It’s a gem of an engine in its original form.

I can totally respect that and am an advocate for keeping things factory. But it's also fun to tinker with such things. I get the impression you're having a ton of fun with that thing just the way it is right now.

Thanks fellas, very much appreciated!

I did a LOT of research before buying my first motorcycle, and saw plenty of opinions that a 250 was too small as a beginner bike.

Not true. I’m 6’ 4” and 195 lbs, and this little EX250 can shoot me up to 60 in well under six seconds. That’s plenty fast, and it can out-corner just about anything. I still find myself laughing and hooting when I rip it up through the gears and carve the curves.

I didn’t have any interest in modifying the bike when there is always something I can improve with my own skills.

SD is for plating dirt bikes, yeah? I’m trying to register a street bike that I don’t have a title for. Basically pulled my CT out of a guys barn from the mud, it was his grandpas, and he had zero paperwork for it and no idea last time it was registered, probably never since it looked like it was a farm bike. Vermont way will register (but don’t issue titles for bikes older than 15yrs) it w/ a bill of sale and issue plates that you can then register in your home state and get a title for it.

Fingers crossed it works, I’ll hopefully be sending vermont a $100 something dollar check and some paperwork tomorrow.

A serious amateur photographer all my life. Had an internet development business and sold my photo skills, but really hated that idea. Better to shoot for fun. Also a lifelong rider, but really slowing down now. Ready to sell my FJR1300. Pic is my wife near Prescott, AZ. I've done a lot of LDR and camping.

I figured out how my 2019 Harley insurance was $90/year.. i had $0 collision coverage. Changed it to $1k deductible, and it went up $112. Much better

I've been thinking about getting that jacket. Let us know your impression of it once you've had a chance to test it out.

I have it too. It’s a pretty good lightweight jacket. It’s basically all perforated so good airflow. It does still get hot though. I took it off on like a mid-80 degree day on a 2 hour ride halfway through. Comes with shoulder and elbow armor which is nice. No back though, but there is a spot for one.
