Black molding strip on roof

    Hello, I’m new to this site but have had a few Toyota trucks.
    I wanted to find out if anyone else had any issues with the black drip molding on roof of their Toyota. This is a 2019 Tacoma I took through the car wash and when the air blower hit the roof and then my strip was hanging on the side. I had them fix the issue and not long after a few washes it happen again.

    Thank you for the welcome. Ok, so the service worker didn’t know what I was talking about cause he told me he hasn’t heard of any problems with the molding on the roof

    I’d think it would be a warranty item.
    Tell the stealership the molding is flapping and your taking on water in the cab.

    i hope he’s not getting water in the cab from that stripping. That would mean someone drilled a hole. That weather stripping is basically a press fit into two clips. Not the best design, but whatever

    It is, I didn’t agree with what he was trying to sell me so I asked to speak to the manager. Of course the manager just told him to order it and replace it, if it happens again it’s not a defect on the truck it’s the blower at the car wash.
