well as the title says i got her back!.. sold the truck a little over a year ago to a guy whose somewhat local.. i bought a bmw and was having fun driving it, bought a expensive intake for it, was about to get it tuned and start modding it.. and found out the dude was having to sell the truck for personal reasons.. i let it go for a while the dude has a sound buyer for it.. so a month later i messaged the guy i sold it to outta the blue just wondering if it sold, he said the buyer backed out last min so i put the bmw up for sale that day and about a week and a half later the bmw was sold and i was on my way to pick the truck back up! im really happy it worked out this way, beyond stoked to have the truck back.. kinda weird seeing it in the driveway again lol.. really thought id never see it again.. looking at camburgs rear kit, or giants link killer kit.. the guy i bought it back from had a short course kit all the shocks and everything for it but sold it all before putting the truck up for sale so i may look into going that route with a short course link set up.. anyhow.. just thought id post to say whats up guys and that im excited to have the truck back20200714_141030[1].jpg 20200714_141030[1].jpg 20200713_203835[1].jpg

oh the back window is loaded with stickers lol.. gonna have to take a few of them off.. he only put like 20k miles on it so not to bad.. it will take me another 5 years before the truck hits 100k.. but he did tint the windows and installed some jbl door speakers which im stoked about.. the trucks def a lot slower then the bmw lol so i just ordered a pedal commander for it

only weird thing its doing is with the bluetooth.. if the volume goes all the way up it kills the bluetooth connection or just drops the BT.. and if i turn the truck off and back on its fine.. and the volume bar seems glitchy.. gonna pop the face off and make sure no wires wiggled lose behind the head unit.

    Welcome back.
That’s definitely not the usual setup we see running around here.
Curious to know what all it has done to it?
Do you have a build page?

i might have one with some progress pictures.. i dont remember ill have to check.. but it has the dezert toy fab race kit, 10" dual rate kings, fox bump stops, total chaos upper control arm gussets, reinforced coil buckets, method double standards, 35" bfgs, mcneil bedsides and custom front fenders that were made by slx motorspots a forum member, they took fiberwerx 6" fenders and cut them up and widened them by a few inches and redesigned a bit to fit this kit and be able to tuck 37s.. has a URD intake and blackwidow exhaust.. and a dezert toy fab front bumper to.. DTF did all the work at his shop in santa maria..

Have you played with the idea of using HPTuner to tune the truck?
There is a great guy here on the forum, that they say works magic on these trucks.

my brother in laws been talkin to be about HP tuners.. i didnt think you would be able to pull much power outta the motor with out going with a supercharger.. i know another company that does a lot of impressive tunes on cars and the ecu flash they had for these trucks only gained like 12 to 15 hp (crank hp) on a stock engine.. ill see how the pedal commander goes, my other brother in law got one on his silverado and it made it super responsive

@JustDSM is the guy. He can give you an idea of what can be done.

I’d recommend the guy above, over a pedal commander.
If anything, wait and see what he says can be done.

On a N/A truck there’s not a whole lot to be gained at WOT (especially on 86/87 octane). The real benefits come from the part throttle torque gains that a dyno sheet won’t see. Their is a pretty healthy dose of torque to be gained between 2500-4500rpm.

Improved throttle response, elimination of rev-hang (manuals) and improved shift logic are the icing on the cake.

That's Jordan Smith's old truck. He used to be a member on here. He still might be hanging around. If you want to see a build type thread, search his name. I'm sure you'll find it.

ya i didnt think there is much to gain.. the other companies ECU flash tune gained like 12-14hp and maybe the same TQ.. wasnt worth the 500$ imo.. and it said that hp gain was crank hp lol so def less to the wheels.. best and biggest change would be a supercharger
