Hi I'm a new member and recently installed the 6112/5100 combo set at .5 inch of lift. The 6112s came with the bilstein factory shocks I believe they're rated at 600lbs.
I dont have any excess weight in the front, factory armor on my 08 TRDoffroad dbl cab, no aftermarket bumper yet, looking at trail gear low profile tube set up to save weight compared to a plate bumper. So, can I remove my sway bar with this stock setup and daily drive the truck? I dont typically go over 70mph, I go up to the mountains on weekends to explore nothing crazy, but there are moments where I wish I had more droop travel. Thank you!

I have a third gen with the 6112 combo set for 1.5” of lift and no sway bar. Not a lot of weight up top, it handles ok but there is still some sway coming around sweeping corners at speed or abrupt. Not nearly as bad as my 3 linked xj with no sway bar but you need to keep it in the back of your mind for sure.

Unless your doing some hard core wheeling I would leave the sway bar on, let's face it, for that 1% that you may do some tough wheeling is it worth the risk of crappy handling, the other 99%of the time?

I’m on 6112 and at 2.15” (or whatever 4th bitch is) and I haven’t had a sway bar on for quite some time now. Definitely some pronounced body roll when ripping on the On-Ramps for highways but nothing you can’t get used to.
