XM Radio Integration and Radio/Audio suggestions needed

Just bought a 2011 DB TRD Sport, and I'm curious if anyone else has installed an aftermarket head unit while using the factory XM antenna/tuner? I do not have the JBL package, but the factory unit does have XM/SAT button on the unit it and the XM radio currently works. I am looking to install the Sony XAV-AX7000 which says it is "compatible with SiriusXM satellite radio tuner" , but I am curious if I need to buy an additional tuner/adapter/antenna or if I can just connect the new Sony head unit directly to the factory XM tuner? Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?

 

You'll need a sirius/xm vehicle tuner kit https://shop.siriusxm.com/siriusxm-sxv300-connect-vehicle-tuner.html. The stock head unit has the tuner inside, not removable. To utilize the stock sirius antenna you'll need the antenna adapter, something like this one (there are bunch out there at different prices):
