Yes. I paid about $250 total for M1 gear oil, Redline MT-90 fluid, and an $18 liter of Ravenol T case fluid. There are leftovers, so this next time will be a good bit less, but I do plan to use Toyota LF fluid.

I would say to not bother with a lift. I did it all with all four wheels on the ground. Quite easy.

@MtnFisher came up with this slick idea to make the diffs a piece of cake. Just a kludge of a new, cleaned out weedsprayer:

If you add a pull through schrader valve, you don't even have to pump.

Precisely what I did. I have a 2017 AT and got tired of it. I've always had MTs. Got a 2019 Pro MT and never looked back.

I have a 2017 double cab 6MT. I drove a couple hours from Ohio to Michigan a few weeks ago. I started on state route then ran the highway up to Michigan. Started off doing 68mph then i noticed the MPG suffered. i backed it down to 55-60. Once I arrived at my destination I got 22mpg. I was happy with that. On my way home is when these riots and crap started so I decided to take back roads and state routes home. I ended up getting home averaging 25MPG. I was VERY HAPPY with that.

I don't drive it like a sports car. It only has 28K on it now but if you baby it, I think i can get 300K+ out of the original clutch and not have slipping/shifting issues like an AT does.

    I can usually get about 20-22 at 65 mph. 22+ at 55

Currently have 103k on mine with original clutch and brakes.

well this is my bummer for the day,
I've been looking into a 'small' replacement truck for my old sporty taco since i keep running into major dead ends with its structural upkeep yada yada and its sucking the life out of me anymore
also for the 'what if...' scenario
the Chevy Colorado is the nearest current design I can honestly see to near replicate what i have
so I went to the Chevy dealer out of town only to find the bed rails are SO High & Large that i cannot lean over and touch the bed floor at all! arms just dangle in the air lol, on mine i can palm the bed while flat footed, no issues, and the Taco 2nd gen stock 4wd height I can fingertip the bed floor standing on my toes, which is a good stretch.

also, the chevy dealer sales manager told me the Colorado does not come in MT currently and has not been available in 2 years.
and the MT they had then '18 only came with a 4cyl engine, so probably no quick & nimble power like i am used to
so now i look forward to another depressing evening with all of everything wondering whats next to go wrong

Yeah. The current gen GM twins only ever had the MT with the 4cyl.

Just curious, but why not the 3rd Gen MT? Yes, unfortunately. It needs a couple mods, but it is darn good.

I’ve been trying to tell him that for MONTHS

I even went and found trucks for him... sitting on dealer lots... like 20 of them..

The only 2 choices left for a new MT Truck is a Tacoma and a Gladiator making the choice easy!

Does anyone have handy the HP/Torque limits of the "RC62F" Manual Trans found in the 3rd gen Taco's?

I thought it was 450ft lbs of torque but now I can't find it lol.
I also can't remember what thread I got said info from....:bananadead:

    Thanks!

The thread might have been the OVT Force Induction thread? 450 sounds like the number, but there was a recent post talking about less?

If someone happens to find a document, it would great to link it up. I know there was a spec document posted for the AT at some point.

the Colorado is useless as a small 'truck', its bigger than it looks lol, i tried to reach into the bed and my arms kept dangling in mid air like a stretched dummy
the rails are so wide my pits got hung up even standing on the toes and felt helpless trying to reach in to grab anything
my stock height 1st gen i have NO issue fingering small objects stuck in the dead center back there and removing it
    i wish i was taller...

The bed rail height of the Twins and the Ranger are ridiculously high for a mid sizer. They are high enough to look silly on the road. Of course being lifted 1in over the 2nd Gens, the 3rd Gens are pretty tall also.

Not even cognitive dissonance, the 3rd Gen was the only choice for me, esp with Nissan's nose diving quality.

Hell, I was anti-pickup because most peeps use them for mall crawling around here and I was never a fan of red vehicles. I am still catching shit about both of those from my friends.

Similarly, I had a friend on the motorcycle side that would literally preach about buying from other brands and not get locked into one product line. Since I have known him, he has only owned Triumphs.

Something about the manual always draw me back. Owned a few manual cars and got tired of it going on trips like San Francisco so I went out and bought an automatic Grand Cherokee. I started missing the manual so much I went out and bought a beater 1996 Mazda B3000. That thing was unreliable so here I am now with a manual Gen 3. The wife gets the Grand Cherokee now so best of both worlds.
