Coffee VS AC LCD screen

Here is a WTF moment.
This AM on the way to work, sipping on my coffee a Trash truck came out of a blind driveway forks down into the roadway in front of me. Closed lid coffee cup explodes into the stereo console and all over the dash. Coffee drips down in the Dual Climate control LCD screen and makes it into the plastic lens. Pulled the trim ring off to clean it up, but it screwed up the LCD to the point where it is unreadable.
Question
1. Is removable for cleaning and replacement? How?
2. If its not repairable/removable by me , do you think it is covered under the Bumper to Bumper Warranty?
To me its seems like a flaw in engineering ie... what is I had sprayed my dash with a cleaner and the same cleaner got into the gap behind the screen. Did Toycorp really design this not to be cleaned by the consumer?

Don't you know its not safe to drink and drive. Oh wait, that is for alcohol and not coffee.

Can't help you on if it can be taken apart and cleaned. I doubt if it will be covered under the bumper to bumper. Doesn't hurt to ask.

 

Not gonna be able to clean it and make it work again but get rid of the coffee evidence and take her in. "I just noticed it was like that, no idea what caused it" might convince a Service Advisor to warranty it.

 

I can almost 100% guarantee you theres a clause somewhere that warns against using harsh cleaners and/or too much cleaner when cleaning. So no, Im sure the interior was not designed to have any sort of ingress protection / be water or spill proof...

 

Maybe find a used one on eBay or a junk yard?

Well, after investigation, removal and cleaning it up with q tips and compressed air its working fine.

Glad you were able to clean it!
Drinks messing up electronics, usually on the center console, is a common problem for cars these days -- given the electronics there and the ever-present beverage. From what I have heard, issues caused by spills are not covered by warranty and can be expensive.
