Yes, I would think I can find them used--I did a Craigs search for West Coast. I am in the Sierras near Sacramento, but the Bay Area is not too far away. The dealer wants exactly one pound of flesh. And, they want to inspect the bumper for more damage before they will sell it (that will go from zero to $2000 in 3.9 seconds). Worst case scenario is I will buy a set primered and have them painted--which I think would be quite a bit more money than junkyard replacement.

 

Given where you are it might be worth calling a few of the bigger shops to see if they have any. Sometimes people don't want them back when they upgrade their bumpers. Just a thought. Dumb question ... given the cost would it be better to put on a replacement bumper (steel or aluminum) instead? It might end up costing about the same amount. Mine are kind of ugly chrome and I have been thinking about putting on a not so expensive rear bumper. I would give you mine but I am in NY and not ready to do that just yet ... sorry !

 

That is a good suggestion. Perhaps I should start a separate thread rather than jumping in the middle of this one. The dealer wants about $400. Online color matched are about $75 per side, but none are magnetic grey. Thank you for your kind remarks!

Bought used off TW I plastic dipped the letters . That’s it

 

If you had skid plate you could paint that red too. It would look presentable

 

Here’s mine, very nice grille.

 

I'm actually thinking I want to trade this grill for the new 2020 grill.
Or put an led light bar where the letters go.
