I have the fuel system and FWIW, they're pretty awesome. I don't have experience with the other lines of Milwaukee tools but the Fuel 1/2" impact gun delivers up to something nuts like 1600 lbs of tq. Almost never takes more than 2 smacks to break stuff free

do the Fuel tools require Fuel batteries? or are all of the M18 and M18 Fuel stuff interchangeable?

Fuel is M18. M18 is the battery platform. Milwaukee has M12 and M18 tools. They’ve got standard M18, brushless, and Fuel.
Fuel being top of the line, which are brushless with m18 batteries and “red link” electronics. Brushless are self explained with the ‘power state’ motors like Fuel but without the upgraded electronics.

I have M12, M18, and M18 fuel. It really depends what you intend to do with them. All M18s use the same batteries. My M12, M18 and M18 impact drivers all do what I need them to do. From M12-M18 Fuel, you’re just looking at power increases.

    What’s your proposed use?

This is the one I got.

I have makita and Milwaukee tools. BUT I have makita 18 volt power tools and Milwaukee 12v power tools.

As far as I've seen the m12 Milwaukee stuff has a much wider variety of tools to choose from over the other companies. So I dont mind having two different brands.

Those are the 3 M12s I want to get next. How do you like them? And I haven’t even used my new Fuels :anonymous:

I like the die grinder the best but they're all great. The ratchet isn't the fuel one but im not sure it's needed since theyre not meant to break nuts or bolts loose just to speed up the removal process.

Is it acceptable to like the DeWalt 20V max 7 1/4" and 4 1/2" circular saws (which I use a lot), oscillating tool (100% bacon saver), compact recipro, drills (I have a few that have fallen 12+ feet and work fine), lights and a few others AND like the smaller Milwaukee tools, I mean other than the obvious battery hassles? Those small things look handy + HD and you guys are sold on them.

Because frankly I love my old corded Hole Hawg, I completely lost my Milwaukee love when my larger, just past new corded Milwaukee HD 1/2" drill motor burned out and Milwaukee would not support me. Swore not to buy another thing from them - in fact just as a lark, bought the Horrid Fright Chicago equivalent those 10 years ago and it still lives, working just fine.

Perfectly acceptable to like multiple brands. Hell even die hard Milwaukee guys in the trades tend ot have other brands stuff cause its better.

Hell I have the M12 and some M18 stuff, Ryobi 18v, then Dewalt is my go to for corded

I figured. Thanks! They look nice to speed up the manual process, lots of the Tacoma stuff isn’t torqued insanely either. I use my little impact driver for a lot of little stuff and small bolts, those ratchets caught my eye. Not sure I’d need the fuel line, to be honest I only spent the little bit more for the fuels cause I had a store credit and military discount which put it just a hair above the regular brushless.

it would be for around the house use to repair and maintain the house, land, and vehicles. I wouldn't be full construction crew levels of use, but definitely more heavy usage than your typical "drive a screw once every so often"

They’re all fine, really. The only thing I’d look at is if you’re likely to increase your cordless tool collection and if so, who offers the most options in regards to your planned usage.

Got my new box today. Got
It home and it has two small dents in the back. So they refunded me 100$. Sold my other husky box for 150$ and after the refund paid 330$ for this one. Pretty happy with it. Seems very solid. Still working on adding tools to my collection. None of my stuff matches and most of it came from hf.

To my defense. I hardly work on anything. But like having tools for when I do need them. So this stuff doesn’t get used much.

Old box. I traded a yard I was cutting once a month for it. Got it from a buddy of mine.

Lol sandals are new and I have thick feet. Still stretching them out. Slipped off my shoes and slid these on in a hurry to get my toolbox opened up.

Congrats! Been waiting on your review

It came w receptacles and USB charging ports on the right side? If so, where does the cord exit?
How useful does the hardwood top seem?

    Thanks.

Yes it exits on the right side probably 6-8” from the top of the box. It comes out of a rubber grommet.

Also the top is solid. It’s attached to the box when you receive it. Seems to be very durable. I paid 430$ for the box. Took 3 weeks to get it. They refunded me 100$ for two small dents in the back. So I’m
    Very happy with It.
