Saiga, yeah that's another name I remember hearing from watching the cousins play those games. Very cool.
That tidbit about the factories and stuff, sounds similar to how the SKS were made in many countries and very similar in many ways but not the same.
For the SKS I'd read, but never knew enough to know how to verify anything on my own, but I'd read the Norinco one was the most reliable, even though SKS in general appear to be very reliable, and best made of the variants. You know or have any experience with them?

The AK too was cloned by many other countries as well.

It's funny though that you mention Norinco as they made some of the finest AKs ever built.

I have a chinese variant that in CA alone would go for almost $4k, but the Norinco name itself, like all cool things, is banned altogether in California.

I guess if they made the best SKS there's a good chance their AK is tops as well.

 

KAC on the otherhand is none other than Knights Armament.
