    It's true!

As much as I can be a dick I usually smile and chuckle when people tell me about "rock crawling" in their brand new SXS or JK/JL with a budget boost and 35s :)

I'm so extremely fed up with work. I'm strongly considering just walking the fuck out

I have very limited experience with surface grinding, and they've got me running tight tolerances on a machine they just "fixed" which can't even hold .006 across 10". That's my entire margin of error plus 10%. The job is literally impossible and the material is bowed. Not even a "we understand it's tough", just a "get grinding". How bout you grind this bitch, I don't need to!

that sounds really, really frustrating. I know you take pride in your work and it sounds like they don't even care that they've set you up to fail with that kind of condition

Thats why I left my last one 100%. Wonderful people, not so great at managing anything. Constantly changing direction and abandoning projects. Hated it.

New job has an incredible boss that has my back on everything. And I work my ass off because I enjoy it.

People will go a long way for a good boss.

What surface finish do they expect you to hold?

I had to run a Cincinnati lathe once ... one particular part had to have an OD of 3" +/- .0005" but it had about 6 thou runout across 12"

The parts were 10" long :(

They would get mad at me for asking questions (it was my first maching job and I had just gotten out of community college) and explained "that's what offsets are for" :boom: I had to work around so much stupidity in their programs.. didn't even know machine shops aren't all like that until almost 2 years later lol

Anyway. I feel your pain. Hope it either gets better or you get fed up enough to leave... that's what I ended up doing

I would talk it over with the bossman on monday after a weekend of chilling off, explain why youre being setup for failure. Either he'll understand and help you work through the issue or tell you to punch out. Theres plenty of machining jobs out there.

I freakin loathe having to use a surface grinder.

so my dumbass chipped some paint on the outside corner of my door on my truck. Who is the best site to order from? All I need is that paint touch up pen from Toyota.

I haven't had luck with Toyota's touch up paint pen...at least for Radiant Red the pen I ordered from the parts department didn't match very well.

I used this to paint my fender and the color is a damn near perfect match. I don't know if they sell touch up pens though

    https://www.amazon.com/Finish-Rite-Custom-Spray-Paint-Toyota/dp/B079K3LNC1/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=radiant+red+toyota+paint&qid=1595028772&sr=8-6&th=1

I think you need Barcelona red though right? They probably sell it too
