I bought my truck in January of this year and only have about 2000 miles on it due to COVID. It was broken in by the book (actually better than the book, hardly seen cruise control). I just gave it its first clay bar and wax and it's primed for its first road trip!

My fuel economy with a lot of the mileage being from driving up and down the mountain for the abbreviated ski season is 19.7MPG on average as calculated by the Fuelly app (not onboard computer). I use 89 octane because it's typically only ten cents more in Seattle (3.09 vs 2.99 in my last fill up).

I gassed it up today and headed for my first stop, Spokane, which takes me through Snoqualmie Pass on I-90. Stay tuned for updates including what should be some gorgeous scenery.

Trip begins on I-5 heading downtown to link up to I-90. Fun fact: I-90 is the longest interstate in the US at just over 3000 miles. The western terminus is T-Mobile Park (HQ in Seattle region), previously Safeco Field, home of the Mariners.

Apple CarPlay was a must have if I bought new and I've really been enjoying it, especially Spotify and high quality Apple or Google nav.

Driving across the I-90 floating bridge across Lake Washington. The construction and gantries you see on the left are to support catenary wires which will power trains from the eastern suburbs. This will be the first light rail train to run on a floating bridge in the world!

I've just passed through Snoqualmie Pass, climbing from sea level to 3015ft. On the right is Keechelus Lake.IMG_4597.jpg

I've now finished crossing through the Cascades, and as you can see there's a dramatic change in scenery:

Vantage Bridge carries I-90 over the Columbia River in central Washington. This is near the Gorge Ampitheatre in Quincy, WA. This is a classic inland Northwest view.
