Hello All. I am Blue Tires. Sorry to say I do not own a Tacoma. I am here because I saw some interesting threads about blue Tires.

I owned my first pick up back in 1982. I noticed that periodically the tires would turn blue. Since then I have notice this phenomenon many times. Working with large road construction and mining equip.

I have notice that the tires will turn blue approx 24 hours before a rain is coming. The tires will stay blue as long as it is going to remain rainy. But then will go back to black when the weather is going to clear.

    Welcome aboard Kelly
Caused by fine Quartzite particles and static electricity. Also causes tires to glow at high speed on cloudy nights.
