When I flush my brake fluid I want to replace the bleeder screws. I can find the front disk brake screws but I can’t find the rear drum brake bleeder screws. Can anyone tell me what the correct bleeder screw is for the rear drum brakes on my 2009 base model,? Thank you

You say "bleed screws". Do you mean "speed bleeders" or the OEM bleed screws that came with the truck?

The diameter and pitch should be the same.
The issue we are having is that multiple sites give different sizes.
The front is easily found, typically the rear bleed screw comes installed with the wheel cylinder.

My Toyota parts dealer says they don't sell a separate bleeder screw for my rears drum brakes, only the complete wheel cylinder. They suggested taking one to a parts store to see if they could match it up..

Thanks for your reply, according to a couple of sites this won't fit mine. I bet it would though. Thanks

Very strange that I can't find one. It's probably not impossible to find, my problem is that there are no good parts houses on the island..

Thats probably what you will need to do.
If they have any that knows anything, you might ask the size and thread pitch.
    It likely m7x1.0 or m10x1.0

So I would need to know the pitch in addition the screw size? Thanks for your reply. I would sure like to have the replacement bleeder screw on hand!

I thought of that, but the new WC could have different bleeder screws

I was going to try them once but never did get them, there are some hot and cold reviews on AMAZON they might not be as stout as the OE screws and possibly could snap off

Not our experience, they work very well, use them on multiple vehicles; have on the Tacoma front, but could not figure out part number for backs. Thank you for your thoughts and submissions.
