How prevalent of an issue is rusting on the 3rd gen?
I’m looking to pick up a TRD Pro, only the 2018 for no moonroof and cavalry blue. I can’t find any locally in CA, and most of them are in states that see snow such as IN or MN. I wouldn’t be flying to see the car, due to work and COVID.
They’re generally low mileage (15-20k) so I feel like I shouldn’t be worried, but I bought a Fiat from IN with 30k miles and I’ve been finding a decent amount of rust on the underside and suspension components as I’m working on it.

I live in MN and we don't skimp on the salt here. It eats everything. That being said, it really depends on the previous owner. I run mine through the carwash religiously, and mine has almost no rust. Others of the same age are covered in rust.
