When I was looking for Tacoma’s who’ve done this type of lift/level I couldn’t find much so here is mine.
Yesterday me and my friend installed the supreme suspensions 2.5” leveling kit.
Before ground to fender: 34 3/4”
    After: 38”
So with a 2.5” leveling kit it came out to 3.25” of lift in the front.
Here is the before and after

Now that you’ve done that, don’t take your truck off road.

    Welcome to TW.

I'm doing a 1" spacer (for a 2" lift). Seems like all the pictures that the shock has broken has been of the yellow shocks. Wonder if they are longer or something.

(Going with the 2" until I can save up for some coilovers)

My co worker has a 2.5" spacer lift that the dealer put on and he wheels his 2nd gen hard, like stupidly drunk, "let's go to Rubicon" hard. He has the black shocks. Seriously he has followed me down some hairy trails that my TJ on 37s and ARB locked was having trouble. He would just "throttle it out". I have seen him nose up and land pretty hard a few times.

Not optimum but works for most non off roaders.

If you install a spacer between the top hat and the frame, the bumpstop no longer does anything. When you bottom out hard, the shock bottoms out with catastrophic results. If you put a spacer between the bump stop and the frame, at least the bumpstop will still do it's job.

If you put in the spacer between the coil and the top hat, at least the bumpstop will still do it's job. However, spacers are a cheap way to lift a truck at the expensive of ride quality, driveability, and reliability.

My spacer lift has been just fine. I don’t off road. But does fine. All these people who freak over a spacer lift crack me up. Not everyone can afford a set of kings to look good going down the highway.

In the past I had them on a Taco/Prerunner and Tundra 4x4. Had Zero issues with Baja off-roading etc. and ride was not that much different and never broke anything.

No issues with spacers for on road. The nice thing about adjustable coil overs - you can get the side to side level with out taking out spacers and adding shims. But pricey.

How did you get rid of the fender flares? Looks great!

Surprised to get all these replies. I will upload some photos this weekend, front end is 1” higher than the rear. Love the look of the slight squat down here in NC. Now just wondering if I can fit 285/75s without any issues.

You can delete the flares and holes if you buy 2wd fenders. They are the same size from 05-15.

Ok, this is some real redneck crap that I've been reluctant to share, but here goes.
I have had a 1" spacer (2" lift) on the front of my truck for a few years now, with no problems.
HOWEVER, I did install limit straps to keep the UCA from hitting the coil at full droop and (here comes the redneck part) I lightly sanded and cleaned the lower control arms where the bump stop hits, and glued a hockey puck to each LCA, with the black gasket RTV, so the bump stop is still the limiting factor on full compression. That way, the strut doesn't take all the force. They are holding up really well and I can see witness marks on them where the bumps stops hit them. (Yes, I'm thrifty.)
I used to take a road into town that had a small wooden bridge on it. I routinely caught air going over that bridge and I changed out my stock front struts last fall with about 175,000 miles on them. Other than some rust, they were still in good shape.
IF you do the spacer, you really need to install taller bump stops in the front to absorb the compression impact, to mitigate possible damage.
Note: I am a trained professional, make the above listed modifications at your own risk...

Yeah, I should probably post some pictures and start a "Most Redneck Truck Mods" thread.
