Here's a shot of the spring under axle with the tundra shock and the @ARCHIVE hammer hangers and super bumps . icon hydros are coming and i would love to do the shock relocate with 12" foxs

 

here's the bamf cab mount chop. super easy. i need to trim the seam weld at little bit

 

so after i did the cab mount chop i was still hitting the pinch weld and the corner of the fender. so i figured i would pie cut the fender and suck it closer so i could mount plastic to it. and get it to line up with the cab mount chop. bent the pinch weld to the outside of the truck so i could screw the plastic down.

 

got some pelfrey built rock sliders from @JathzPyrite as he is parting his truck for a new one. got them buzzed on today. should do the job

well i got to installing the @ARCHIVE shock relocation. i used a cutoff wheel and and a air chisel like everyone else but i did it in my driveway. At the same time knocked out the limit straps and icon hydro bumps. rear feels pretty good now with a full load of moto and camp gear i can mob down most rutted fire roads with some whoops and not bottom out. crawls up most stuff more planted even in two wheel with the locker locked. now its the front that i hear topping out the shock or feel hitting the duro bumps. that said its a 100% improvement over stock. install was pretty strait forward. i think it easier than doing the hammer hangers. cutting off driver side shock mount was the second most difficult part of this one because i was lazy and didn't take the bump out. first was the cutting the old shock mounts off the axle with just a cutoff on my back it took a while to get them off and cleaned up. also holding a degree tool and tacking by myself was tough because it was hard to see what degree then tack. just awkward. but it all turned out alright took a day

Awesome build man. I’m thinking about doing the archive sua conversion on my truck. How does it ride on the streets/fire roads with the U539/540s minus one leaf and accutune shocks unloaded? I already have the hammer hangers.

 

I got rid of the accutuned tundra shocks. I have the longer shackles and with the deaver with one leaf out. My ride height is maybe 1” up so the tundra shocks limited my up travel by an inch i think i would have like them a bunch with soa but the sua gains you some up travel so to make use of it i put the archive shock relocate with 12” kings. I am saving for some 2.5 king 12” shocks from jd fab. They have a custom free bleed that is suppose to have some of the benefits of a bypass with no clicking and less shock know how to tune them. I love the way it rides now around town with nothing in the back. Even better with a touch more weight. With two ktms in the back and camp gear i crank down the compression adjusters and it controls all that weight smashing the hydro bumps. I think with the free bleeds i could even get a touch more control with the weight. If i didn’t put all the weight in the back i would stick with the 2.0 12’s. Hope this helps

 

just for conversations sake, I disagree with this statement. Free bleed will not give you more control with additional weight. If anything, you’ll loose a lot of low speed control and have to use the bypass adjuster to compensate for additional weight as they don’t have CD adjusters available for this setup.

 

I stand corrected. I was going off what @81Trekker told me about my specific needs. I don’t really understand this setup but i know you do. Thanks for your input.

 

Keep in mind that I wasn't apart of your conversation with Harry so I'm not trying to contradict anyone. You're in good hands with JD Fab. I'm purely conversing over the concepts of how a bypass works. The free bleed bypass is a great option to have optimal ride quality yet not have the many downsides of a bypass with adjusters.
