    There's your problem ;)

    I kid, I kid.

Could be the grail for M/T though.

If I can get past this Master Key thing :D

I'd be interested in trying it that way in my auto. I'm one of the guys who prefer the way manuals feel but can't have one as a daily driver for medical reasons

I'd be up for that too. Just want the truck to behave predictably. Just want to also say that 2.0 has really helped and made it really close to what one would expect it to drive like from the factory.

Here's one that I've never understood the logic of:

Car owner: "But when I 'give it the beans' it just doesn't go right away and it seems to hesitate"
Dealer: "How do you normally drive?"
Car owner: "Usually pretty relaxed, not a speedster or racer"
Dealer: "Well, there's your problem... it learns your habits so that's how it responds"

So I'm thinking.... if I am normally really gentle with the pedal, don't you think if I'm hammering the pedal I really want to go, like... maybe there's an emergency or safety concern or something? It would seem that OEM's would recognize this situation and allow for it.

Someday they'll probably learn your steering... Don't turn right out of your driveway too often, or it will decide you always want to turn right even when you turn the wheel left!

I am with you, I don't need the truck interpreting what it thinks I want it to do. Just do what I am telling you to do.

I'll admit that I like that Waze usually knows when I'm heading to work or home. That's about all I want it to automate for me though.

I had a '16 Taco, destroyed by a drunk driver. Got a '17 Taco. Destroyed by a distracted driver. Have an '18.... If/when it gets hit by a meteorite, I'm getting a '97 M/T. No BS automated learning anything. lol

Great info! Thank you for Sumerianizing! Lol spell check did this... not me. I was down in Escondido a few weeks back enjoying some fine Stone Brewing dining. I am planning to purchase for the first time the 2.0f in the next few weeks. I appreciate your offer to help and will take you up on your offer if I need it. I think following the directions (what a novel idea) will net me good results. Real quick, would the tune help me move around a double cab long box 4x with 275/7516 and some armor? After these changes the ol girl just doesn’t get around like she used to and I’m hoping the tune will help offset the added weight. Oh ya and help with shifting points.

    You'll feel like it has a V8!

Or at least, it'll hold gears properly.

We need to get your truck tuned. You’ll have wished you did it long ago. Especially with those 1st and 2nd gear pulls

A new version of vF Tuner is released.
    - more ecus added for support
    - logger updated it is now faster and has increased logging resolution
    - other useful changes.

If you have issues with the previous release, master key errors, can't run it, etc. This version installs to the "program files" folder instead of the C drive
it also allows you to change the install folder if you want.

    installer:

    https://ovtune.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/vF+Tuner+Installer.exe

You must uninstall the previous version when installing this one.

Has anyone figured out how to add gear lock using VF Tuner? I am running the latest tune for 04B04. Would love to have this feature in the new tune.

It will be there as an option in the next and Final version of the tunes. Search back on OVT's posts. He noted that Rafael is getting the files ready.

    Hi all,

I'm sure this is somewhere in the thread but 140 pages is a lot to sift thru, I need to get my truck serviced for it's regular service, should I flash the truck back to stock? Or can I leave the tune flashed without running into any warranty issues etc.

    Thanks,
    C

You can leave it flashed. The ECU will still read "correctly" for the dealership techs.
