I have a vibration problem with my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. This is my 3rd Tacoma and have never experienced a vibration problem with my 2 previous Tacomas. I have brand new goodyear tires on the truck (replaced the cheap mastercraft tires that it came with). The truck was diagnosed on the Toyota computer. It was placed on the "roller" and Im told nothing is wrong with it. At 45 mph the vibration is noticeable. Seems like a bent axle or something to me but I cant be sure what is going on? If it were a bent axle it would vibrate all the time right? Any advice how to proceed or what to do is appreciated

First thing I would do is get all tires rebalanced. 9 times out of 10 that's the issue.

Thanks. This vehicle had the same effect with the tires that were on it when purchased. I had Toyota check them and on the roller too. Toyota then replaced the tires with an upgraded tire (goodyear) and Im still having the same problem at 45 mph. Im wondering if there could be another problem that Toyota has not identified. Its been to the Toyota dealership 3 times for this problem and the issue still exists.

The problem may be a two piece drive shaft. The problem gets very bad in cold weather and in those occasional deep cold days in the Buffalo region this thing bounces down the road for about a mile til it lessens - but all winter there will be vibration. Now in the warm weather, there is zero vibration issues. Not being a mechanic, I can only guess the two piece drive shaft freezes and causes this problem. Not a fan of this...

Those new goodyear tires could be your vibration problem....my steering wheel would start pulsing at that speed, or vary between 55-75 mph. Seems nearly every time i bought goodyear tires for my tundra the shop had problems balancing them. There was only one guy there that use to get them right the first try.

My LB as smooth as a truck ever will. I’ve got hankook AT tires too.
If you know anyone with stock sport wheels, ask to swap with them for testing purposes

I have the duratrac. I once had the vibes.i had the tires rebalanced at Toyota of Redlands here in the inland empire and my truck now drives smooth like butter. The tire shop I bought the duratrac said the vibes are normal because of the aggressive tread pattern. I call it BS. Toyota of Redlands fixed it for me.
