At first I was looking into plasti dipping the rims black myself. After watching videos on everything involved, I'm starting to lean towards taking into a shop for painting.

A couple questions. First, it looks like shops don't offer plasti dip. The ones I've found just say 'paint' rim. No mention of plasti dip. I also don't see any mention of matte options. Most say glossy finish.

Is plasti dip proprietary? So only licensed shops can do it?

I'm going to call around to get some quotes tomorrow, but I'm curious about what the price tag will be. Anyone had theirs done? It will be fore 16in wheels, '09 Fit.

Any red flags to lookout for at shops?
