I think I’m gonna go have to scanned Anyway, just to see if I was right. Wonder how long it’s been on with a burnt bulb

 

Maybe a light, very light coating of petroleum jelly on the post to keep the RTV from sticking on it.

 

It will eventually if the problem was resolved, but you can disconnect the battery to reset it and see if it comes back.

You don't have a scanner or obdII plug in? Be good to know what the code is to help narrow down the possibilities

There are certain parts you can get aftermarket, some parts you shouldn't.

Holy duck... 300 dollars... man for that I’ll take my chances on a Walmart battery haha. Be easy to warranty atleast with one on every corner of every state

I got it from Batteries Bulbs Plus. They were on sale at the time. Plus there was a 15 or 20% promotion if you order online then pick up in store. Plus the $18 core fee.

All said and done it was around $240 out the door after tax.

 

Noice, those are some legit battery connectors as well. And the connections and shrink wrap and all look very cleanly done. Nice stuff man.... Maybe next slow day I'll clean my engine bay.... It's motivating seeing that pic

They do not but you don't need them. OEM uses the metal retainers, those have a tighter fit and need no retainer.

My 98 connections needs to be cleaned up too.

Figured I’d start fresh with the 04. One of the first things I did was remove so much unnecessary add ons both the original owner and previous owner (of 4 months) did. Figured it was a good time to do it right from the start.

No I know but I’m saying if you get new knobs you won’t need the metal clips. I lost one too at one point.

 

I work at AutoZone, I see too many one year old Walmart batteries to even bother

 

I’ll go find the part number I guess
