I recently took my 2006 Tacoma on some serious mud this weekend as well as dry trails, lake beds, more mud, and more trails. When I got back home I parked my truck and nothing was wrong. The next morning I started my truck and the 4wd light was constantly blinking. I somehow managed to get it in 4wd but the light was still blinking like it wasn’t engaging properly. I drove to work and back, and I messed around with the transfer case wiring harness and it went right into 4wd and 4LO and back into 2wd. I then hit a bump and the light started blinking again. I’m pretty sure it’s the transfer case wiring harness. Anyone else have this issue. I also noticed that the wiring harness was rubbing up against my drive shaft(not fucking good at all, I know).
Hopefully this might help other people out there as well as maybe give me some tips to avoid this in the future.
