Usually in stock, ships within a few days of order.

    2005+ Tacoma wheel sensor skids
, made in USA with 3/16" high strength steel
    https://archivegarage.com/explore-archive/ols/products/tacoma-wheel-sensor-skids-2005

    Install Instructions (time 15-30mins):
    1. Block front wheels, recommend that rear axle be raised just off the ground and placed on jackstands, to remove weight off nuts/studs.
    2. Use narrow flat blade screwdriver to release sensor connectors
    3. Use 14mm socket to remove 2 nuts per side.
    4. Place skid brackets on studs WITH WELD BEAD INBOARD TOWARDS DIFF (weld should be visible when mounted)
    5. Reinstall factory nuts and torque nuts to factory spec 27 lbft
    6. Plug sensor connectors back in

Fact: Archive designed this independently weeks ago without knowledge of another brand offering similar ideas for a different Toyota model mounted to bearing studs.

I mentioned it in my build thread, but I think it's because it's pretty inexpensive. I've spent more money on dumber stuff, that's for sure. Plus they can actually take a hit as opposed to the current tacoma offering for abs guards.

I assume these should work on FJs and 4runners?

The 5th gen 4runner I looked at has a different stud pattern, possibly due to disc brakes and 4 link suspension

So glad I asked, for forbid I torque these to 3.5 ugga duggas. Please lmk when you do a detailed writeup on this install, I’ll probably wait for a 25 minute YouTube video showing each step though. I need to be spoon fed every detail...

One of the easiest things I’ve installed. Didn’t even jack up the truck. I crawled under with my impact and a 14mm on a swivel. unclipped the sensor, undid the two nuts, slipped the skid on and reinstalled nuts. Reconnect sensor. DONE.
