I think I’m going to try this. I thought maybe I was missing something because they’ve turned off before with the door open. But it’s been an hour or so and then are still on.

Good call. I’ll do that next time.

However after an hour and a half or so they turned off.

Per @MESO on their website a “You must have OUR V2 puddle light kit already installed on your truck to use this switch. To check if you have the V2 puddle kit look at your #1 A-Pillar T-Harness and if the 4 pin connector wires are color you have V2, if they are black you have V1.”

I have the V1 all black harness . Is there any reason why the switch wouldn’t work ?

I have the original all black harness . Follow this guide for the puddle switch. I opted to use option 2 and cut / modified the puddle switch.

I tapped into the 5A panel fuse under the dash for the switch illumination.

Finally got em installed! Took about 4 hours taking my time. Way easier to remove the boot on driver and passenger doors. Pass stock harnesses through and you’ll have way more room to work. That was the hardest part of the install! 968D0B89-2842-440E-BF08-EBDA80508587.jpg097735E4-81EA-48C4-940F-76C81507A520.jpgE4789648-6A23-4717-862C-FBE595B0635F.jpg

Also be very careful not to lose the white clips for the interior triangle shaped trim pieces that cover the bolts to the side view mirrors...I lost 3

So as I was removing my door badge, I noticed the LED lens is cracked and condensation is also building up.

Seems to work fine, wouldn't have noticed it otherwise. Just worried about long term use.

How does everyone's A pillar trim look? Does it bulge out where the connection is made?

No bulge in mine either , and I have a sunroof. I ended up pushing the connector down lower than the factory location and it helped.
