Hey all, I installed the total chaos bed stiffeners a little while ago and remembered today that I forgot to replace the top factory 10 mm bolt after accidentally tightening too hard and resulting in the head snapping off. Could anybody tell me the exact dimensions of the bolt that I need to replace?

Remove the one from the other side and use it for the template at a hardware store??? Sounds simple??

I’m pretty sure it’s a standard 10mm m6 bolt. Just make sure it’s long enough for the threads and bracket. Autozone and oreillys has lots of them. Just take out one from the other side for reference for the length.

Ahhhhhhhh, the plot thickens!!! You never said that to start with. Use an easy-out or whatever to remove them and still use them as a sample at the parts or hardware store.

Post a picture of what you got, cause I'm not sure if mine are the same or not. I could get you the length if they are the same.

Do yourself a favor.....drill that sucker out, pull the taillights out and put a bigger bolt with washer and a lock nut. Tighten that dude down and done!

So I guess I left out some details lmao
I did the install like 2 months ago... and just now looked and remembered that I never replaced the bolts... :0
So I don’t have any reference.

Edit: also removed the broken bolts back then too.

Lmao I did the same exact thing! Just remove your tail light and reach your hand up behind the tail light and you can unscrew it with a pair of vise grips. Thank me later

Pull one of the other ones. Isn't there like 4 bolts in that area?

I thought the "nut" of that broken bolt was part of the tail light assembly

Here's a silly idea. Call the folks that make the darned things and ask. Heck most decent manufacturers will just send you a couple of bolts.

Factory bolts are broken. Not anything included with the stiffeners. First sentence
