I don't have much in the way of suggestions beyond what has already been mentioned but I will say that I have suffered from back and leg pain for many years including sciatica. I only had the sciatica for about 6-8 months but it was completely miserable and debilitating, especially while driving and getting in and out of the truck. I'm not sure what I did but one day it just disappeared, I fear it will probably return down the line. Hopefully you find some relief, a high end seat replacement might be your best bet. If nothing else blaze another doobie ya old hippie. :D

Have you tried using a TENS unit to stimulate the sciatic nerve? I just remembered that part of my rehab they used TENS on me. I would make them turn it up to where I would flop like a fish on dry land. They also gave me a portable one that I would use during the day. Notice I said "part of my rehab," the most important part was the simple but very helpful exercises. I don't use the TENS unit any longer, but still do those same exercises 25 years later. I never want to experience that level of pain again.

    Good luck with yours.
