Reliable Shops in Western NY

Thinking about getting a lift soon, are there any reliable shops or even tacomaworld members in this area? I'm in Buffalo and I'm willing to drive maybe 2-3 hours. Looking for a shop who can do it all... CMC, adjust SPC UCAs, install ecgs bushing.. etc thanks.

I asked the same question about 2 months ago. Didn't get many replies. I did find a shop who was glad to install what I wanted, 5100's and rear helpers. I think but not sure if the could install the ecgs if/when the time comes. I just wanted something subtle in going with the 5100's. The shops I did talk to all wanted to sell me "their" lift product rather than discuss what I was interested in. Please let me know who you find to do the work you're interested in. Thanks !

 

Hey Dr Taco, have you found any shop that you felt comfortable with working on your truck yet, in the area ? I'm looking for someone I can trust to replace a bushing with an ECGS bushing. THX !

 

Question for you ... where are you located and how far are you willing to travel? I am in lower NY and our places are few and far between. Sadly, it is not like we are in Cali, or anywhere West for that matter.

 

I'm in the Buffalo, NY area. If it was someone familiar with that bushing repair I'd travel a few hours if they could do a "same day" thing. I just havent found anyone here who seems like (admits) they are familiar with that repair and the dealers (not that I'd go there) will only replace the part with a stock Toyota part and I'll be in the same situation down the road. Thanks for the follow up.

One other option would be to look instead for Jeep shops. This is one in Buffalo, I think. There are far more Jeep custom shops here in NY. They seem to be everywhere. But they might have the skills to help you:

Rochester is not a problem. Have you had any experience with Titan ? I'll look them up. Cant get into Ontario with the Vid 19, boarders are closed down. I've stopped in a few repair facilities that have turned out some nice rides but when I ask about the bearing/ecgs bushing they seen clueless. Thanks again !!

 

No experience with them at all. Also look at the Jeep place. You would think they could help. Tough going for us, for sure.
