ATF temp Q

    Quick question and I'm sure I know the answer. When people refer to ATF breakdown temps they are referring to sustained pan temps not converter temps, right? Its fairly easy to get 220* at the converter when pulling a good long grade. Pan temps stay in mid 190*s, and are rock solid and barely fluctuate. Temps monitored with OBD Fusion app.

    Yes. I’ve hit 245 F out of the converter. I have been doing annual drain and fills since 40K. Fluid can get a bit dark but doesn’t smell burnt.
