newb here to the forums. Lots of info on here, almost too much lol. I have a 2012 Tacoma Double Cab TRD 4x4. I am going to installing a 6" fabtech lift, that I got for a good price. The question I have is, with the 6" lift I understand there is no need to replace the UCA's because the suspension dimensions should stay close to the same. Is there any reason not to replace them, would it cause issues doing so? Also I have about 110000 miles, since the kit does not comes with LCA bushings, I would think it would be wise to replace them at this time, correct? Anything else need to be replaced while I'm in there?

    Thanks!

    Jon

With stock UCAs you will be fine but with aftermarket UCAs you can get closer to optimal alignment. I am on stock UCAs with my 6" setup and it is good but not quite the same as stock and I had 2 alignments since lift. When I did my kit I replaced the LCA alignment cam bolts as well since the midwest salt is harsh on things. I did not replace bushings. I would say given your mileage I would replace those as well. Also when you swap your hubs to the Fabtech drop spindles you will want to order new dust seals instead of trying to reuse your stock ones.

Plan was to replace the bearings while I was at it, do you know if those dust seals come with the new set? Also do you happen to have the part numbers you used for the cam bolts?

I only ordered the seals for my application sorry. I believe you need 48409-35020 and 48409-35050 for the LCA cams/bolts. I would see how the process goes of removing them though you may be able to reuse what you have.

The issue is that the LCA bolts is only 100 ft lbs torque spec and in my experience its too light and they come loose... but by going to higher torque seized on me plus I live in the salt belt... Definitely check the torque on those post alignment I think a lot of shops tend to leave them too loose or improperly torque them with the suspension drooped.
