New member here. I just bought a used 1997 4wd standard cab truck. It has 143,000 miles on it. It was kind of an impulse buy, but so far i don't see anything horribly wrong. it has a little frame rust, and for whatever reason, the skid plate is missing. It seems to run good so hopefully this will turn out to be a good experience for me. I live near Hickory, N.C. and hope to be able to get around if we have any snow this year. Wish me luck.

I bought a 2010 Tacoma this year, Its my first one. I decided on the 4cly 2.7 manuel. Its a great truck on gas and the power is ok. What I dont like is the location of hand brake lever and the stiffness of the clutch pedal. If in traffic for a few minutes it will literally burn a hole in you foot. I feel the seats are quite poor in comfort , too soft. I also have a 2004 4Runner and its much more comfortable to drive.
