Anyone in the community know of a quick solution to get a better cap on my Tailgate? I have the opportunity to pick up a new motorcycle, but the PO already bent my tailgate and cracked my cap. i did further damage with a rental Ditch Digger :(

Looks like Mobtown has a long leadtime, KB Voodoo no longer is business, and not sure about Relentless Fab...

KB Voodoo is still in business. I have the Voodoo tailgate cap and the customer service seems to be top-notch. I'm currently waiting on a replacement cap due to some defects that weren't Voodoo's fault. It seems like a well-made piece. With my Topper, the tailgate cap fits perfectly.

Thanks.. I didn't see them as a TW advertiser so I thought they went under. I just checked their website and The sell a Cap-- but I really need a Reinforcing Panel AND a cap. I will change the title to be more clear

I like my KB VooDoo cap. That being said, I finally gave up on the 'new and improved' powder coat promised over and over. I took mine to Line-X, had it dipped and encapsulated - $50. Now I am happy with it. Maybe his powder coat this time really is fixed but if I was to buy another, I would be prepared to redo it some.

    Still in planning phase ...
You can browse FB Marketplace or Craigslist in your area and get lucky ... I was able to score Relentless Fab, tailgate reinforcement off FB Marketplace few months back for CHEAP.

remove the tailgate - or drop it down so the cycle doesn't roll on it - if the cycle fits close it - if not remove it - strap the cycle in and go.

Yeah that's what I'll end up doing to pick up this bike. I'll keep trolling CL and FB Marketplace in the meantime.

Order the aluminum reinforcement from @RelentlessFab. in the meantime get a piece of plywood to distribute the load.

You will likely have issues bolting any of the options up if your tailgate is bent though.

If you can wait, I'd go for the Mobtown plate and cap for the tailgate. In the meanwhile, yes, plywood would help.
Are you replacing the tailgate since it's bent? I suspect none of the aftermarket option will fit nice if it's bent.

it’s just the inside surface that’s bent, the plastic And whatever supports it. It has a big divot in the middle where it looks like they tied down a heavy motorcycle.

I’ll probably get a Mobtown plate and cap since I’m in PA also and shipping is reasonable. That killed the RelentlessFab deal— shipping adds $160
